Lam Nguyen Scores Huge Double Up Through Gary Legator

Gary Legator’s once mighty stack is now one of the shortest in the room after being picked off by Lam Nguyen (pictured).

The action of the key hand sees Legator raise under the gun to 3,200 and get a call from Nguyen in the cutoff.

Legator checks the monotone flop and Nguyen bets 9,000. Legator instantly check-raises to 32,000 which sends Nguyen into the tank.

After almost two minutes he makes the call, and on the turn bringing a fourth club, Legator quickly moves all in, covering Nguyen’s 85,200 stack.

After another minute or so Nguyen makes the call to the disappointment of Legator, who shows , while Nguyen shows holding the superior club.

The on the river changes nothing to send the significant pot to Nguyen and leave Legator short.
