After not putting a single chip into play all day, Larry Berg moves all in from the button for 416,000, and Tommy Vedes calls from the big blind with [QdJd]. Berg shows [QhJs], and it’ll be a chop unless somebody makes a flush.
The flop comes [7d3c2d], and Vedes is freerolling with a diamond flush draw. The turn card is the [Kd], clinching the pot for Vedes. (The meaningless river card is the [4s].)
In the sickest fashion possible, Larry Berg (a dealer here at Bellagio who we hear was backed into a satellite to earn his entry) is eliminated in a Q-J vs. Q-J situation. There is a big hand developing at the next table, but as soon as it’s resolved, the remaining players will combine to a single table.
Larry Berg – Out in 11th Place ($47,710)
