Picking up the action after the turn of a board with about 13,000 in the pot, Zo Karim checks from the small blind. The player under the gun checks as well and Larry Ormson bets 4,500 from the hijack. Karim raises to effectively 26,000-ish, the UTG player folds and Ormson makes a forward motion with his chips.
Karim tables for a pair of jacks with an ace-high flush draw, however Ormson tells him he did not call as his chips didn’t cross the line.
As the situation is being explained to the floor, Ormson announces that he calls and shows for a flush, taking down the pot a the river completes the board.
The floor says Ormson would have been forced to call regardless of the cards due to his forward motion.
Larry Ormson – 65,000 (217 bb)
Zo Karim – 35,000 (116 bb)
