As you may have heard by now, more than a dozen players shaved their heads last night as a show of support for Thuy Doan, who recently lost her hair to chemotherapy treatments.
With that topic bouncing around the room, Antonio Esfandiari and Scott Dorin played a game of "Lodden Thinks," asking another player how much he thinks it would take to get the masseuse (with short blonde hair) to shave her head.
The third player eventually came back with a number of $44,000, which Dorin thought was ridiculously high. Antonio thought, if anything, the number was low. They decided to extend their bet further, and they bet on whether a neutral arbitrator would think the number was too low, about right, or too high. They settled on Barry Greenstein.
Greenstein, who shaved his head last night in support of Thuy Doan, was reluctant to give an answer, but agreed to give it some thought. He has been thinking for quite some time, still unwilling to commit to an opinion on that number.
Asking other people around the room brings a mix of responses on both sides. Some think $15,000 would be enough to do it, while others think it would take a lot more money than that. The masseuse didn’t answer the question directly, but she implied that it would require quite a bit of money for her to shave her head.
