Luo Shoves Six Hands in a Row

After losing a kings-vs.-queens cooler and getting knocked down to just 1,500 in chips (4 big blinds), Luo went on a shoving spree, seemingly to either run up his stack or run it down to the felt so he could re-enter.

This all happened during the previous level (Level 3), with blinds at 200-400 with a 400 ante.

HAND #1  –  Luo moves all in from UTG+1 for 1,500, the hijack reraises, and everyone else folds.

Luo turns over , and needs to improve to stay alive against his opponent’s .

The board comes , and Luo pairs his eight on the flop to win the pot and double up in chips.

Luo  –  4,000  (10 bb)

HAND #2  –  Luo moves all in under the gun for 4,000, taking the blinds and ante.

Luo  –  5,000  (13 bb)

HAND #3  –  Mark Zhu raises under the gun to 1,100, Luo moves all in from the big blind for 4,600, and Zhu calls with . Luo turns over , and needs to improve to stay alive.

The board comes , and Luo pairs his six on the flop to win the pot and double up in chips.

Mark Zhu  –  60,000  (150 bb)

HAND #4  –  Hasian Hyde raises from the cutoff to 400, Luo moves all in from the small blind for 9,800, and Hyde folds. Luo takes another pot.

HAND #5  –  Daniel Gabriel raises UTG+1 to 1,000, Luo moves all in from the button for 11,000, and Gabriel calls with .

Luo turns over , and needs to improve to stay alive.

The board comes , and Luo catches runner-runner clubs to win the pot with a rivered flush to double up in chips.

Luo  –  23,000  (58 bb)
Daniel Gabriel  –  16,500  (41 bb)

As the dealer pushes Luo the pot, he smiles, waves his hands, and says, “No more! No more!” The clear implication is that he has finished shoving preflop on every hand.

HAND #6  –  Action folds to Luo in the cutoff, and he moves all in for 23,000. Everyone folds, and Luo takes his sixth hand in a row.

Luo  –  24,000  (60 bb)

HAND #7  –  Action folds to Luo in the hijack, and with 60 big blinds in his stack, he finally folds.

Luo  –  24,000  (60 bb)

At this point, Luo has a solid stack, rebounding from his dip down to 1,500. We’ll have to wait and see if he can hold onto his stack long enough to survive the Money Bubble tomorrow on Day 2.
