Macdonald Bets Small But Wins Big

Thomas Macdonald from Hull in the UK has just helped himself to a large pot, which he won after a small bet on the river.

Joining the action on the [2dAc9h] flop, Macdonald bet 14,000 from the small blind and Armando Graziano called in the big blind. The dealer put out the [5h] on the turn and this time Macdonald checked. Graziano then bet 26,100 and Macdonald called.

The river was the [3s] and Macdonald came out firing again, as he had on the flop, but this time his bet was a rather small 15,000. Whether or not this confused Graziano or he read it as Macdonald having a monster hand does not matter as he folded and left the Brit to pick up the pot.
