Magriel Runs into Two Pair

A player raises under-the-gun and Paul Magriel calls on the button. Loni Harwood defends her big blind and they are three-handed to a flop of J96.

Harwood checks, the original raiser bets 1,500 and Magriel calls. Harwood folds and the 3 falls on the turn. Under-the-gun bets 1,500 again and Magriel reaches for chips.

“Rainbow,” said Magriel as he raises to 11,525, tossing out four chips of three different colors.

Under-the-gun goes into the tank for a couple minutes and then eventually calls. The Q is the river and both players check. Under-the-gun tables QJ and Magriel mucks his hand.
