Marco Slacanac Rising

Jan 12, 2018

Jeffrey Cormier was short not long ago and suddenly has more than two times the average with 71 players remaining. Cormier raised to 5,300 and Maxi Lehmanski three-bet to 14,500, which Cormier called. On the Diamond KSpade 10Club 4 flop, Lehmanski quickly continued for 10,000 and that did the trick. The same table also features Michal Mrakes and Gerald Karlic while Romain Lewis built a stack at the same table as Tony Dunst.

Marco Slacanac moved up to 400,000 after firing two barrels against Vasyl Zabrodskyy until the Spade ASpade QHeart 3Diamond 8 turn. The first one worth 8,000 was check-called by Zabrodskyy before 20,000 proved to be too much, Slacanacflashed Heart QClub Q for a set.

Zabrodskyy more than recovered that small loss a few minutes later by sending Marius Gierse to the rail. Gierse had flopped top pair and a gutshot with Club QDiamond 10 on Heart 10Spade 9Heart 8, but Zabrodskyy’s over pair with Spade KClub K held up with two blanks on turn and river.

Marco Slacanac – 400,000
Ole Schemion – 300,000
Jeffrey Cormier – 300,000
Romain Lewis – 245,000
