Martin Stausholm Checks Back the Nut Flush

Martin Stausholm raises to 25,000 in early position before Niko Koop three-bets to 100,000 in the small blind.

Stausholm calls and the flop comes . Koop leads out for another 80,000 and Stausholm calls.

The turn is the and Koop checks to Stausholm who bets 180,000. Koop calls and the falls on the river. Koop checks again, and this time Stausholm checks back.

Koop shows , but Stausholm has for a flush to win the big pot.

After the hand, Frederic Normand points out that Stausholm checked out of turn on one of the streets. “Am I supposed to say something during the hand,” Normand asks.

“There’s nothing that can come of it now,” Stausholm replies.
