Robert Tanita and Steve Buckner shared details of how Tanita acquired a huge stack worth more than 1.3 million.
Last level, with blinds at 3K-5K, Tanita raised from the cutoff to 11,000, Matt Bond reraised from the button to 33,000, and Tanita snap-reraised to 100,000. Bond called.
The flop came , Tanita moved all in, and Bond paused to think.
After only a few seconds, Tanita said, “If you haven’t called yet, you’re screwed.”
Bond tanked for a while before he called all in for 209,000 with , and Tanita turned over . Bond needed to improve to stay alive.

Tanita called, and the flop came . Tanita checked, Bond bet, and Tanita check-raised. Bond three-bet all in for roughly 600,000.
Tanita called with for a pair of aces with a heart flush draw, and Bond turned over for a pair of aces with a king kicker.
The turn card was the , the river card was a , and Tanita turned an ace-high flush to win the pot and eliminate Matt Bond from the tournament.
