Anthony Gargano raises from early position to 2,600, and Mike Matusow tries to call by putting out a 5,000 chip and a 100 chip. (He doesn’t have exact change, and claims he was trying to make it easier on the dealer.) Gargano calls for a floorperson, claiming that Matusow’s action indicated a raise.
The floorperson rules that Matusow raised the bet to 5,100, so Gargano thinks for a little while before reraising to 15,500. Matusow immediately puts out his entire stack of 87,350 and says, "Alright, let’s go."
Gargano wasn’t expecting this, and thinks for a bit before he asks Matusow if he was angle shooting. Matusow says, "Was I angle shooting? No. But I think you were angle shooting with that reraise."
Gargano thinks a little longer and folds. But before Matusow mucks his cards, Gargano negotiates a quick deal where Matusow will show his cards for $300. Gargano pulls out three $100 bills, and hands them to Matusow.
Matusow shows [KcKh], and says, "But I was not angle shooting! That was a flat call, because I don’t like to reraise with kings when there’s an under-the-gun raiser." Gargano disagrees, saying that anyone who has ever played a tournament knows that as soon as that situation comes up, the original raiser is going to put out a reraise.
You can see Matusow describe the situation in his own words in a video interview with Amanda Leatherman that will be posted soon.
