Welcome back to the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey, for Day 2 of the Season XVIII WPT Borgata Poker Open where Mukharji Uppalapati leads the 518 survivors from the 978-entrant field.

The last 10 years at the WPT Borgata Poker Open, the field size has surpassed 1,000-entrants with the biggest field being set in Season X as 1,313 entrants took to the felt. With Season XVIII already ahead of where last year’s event sat, and with registration open through to the start of level 11, another massive field is in play.

Day 1A of the WPT Borgata Poker Open attracted a total of 271 entrants, and once the dust settled after eight levels of play, just 129 players would remain with Mukharji Uppalapati (pictured below) leading with 252,400 in chips. Sitting behind Uppalapati is Asher Conniff who is no stranger to success here at the Borgata after he won the Season XIII WPT World Championship. Conniff bagged 247,800 and rounding out the top few chip counts were Ryan Olisar (229,700), Bruce Kramer (211,600), and Larry Ormson (204,600).

Day 1B saw a huge amount of players as 707 entrants filled the poker room throughout the day. Eventually it would be Shiraz Hasan claiming the chip lead with 227,500 to just eclipse Henry Tran with 223,500 and Marcos Exterkotter who finished with 222,200. Sitting behind Hasan, Tran, and Exterkotter include WPT Champions Club members Brian Altman (187,500), Daniel Weinman (186,700), and Ryan Van Sanford (178,000), along with Peter Campo (184,700), Tyler Phillips (183,600), Kevin Garosshen (176,700), and Ami Alibay (175,000).

From this point on, levels will be increased to 75 minutes in duration with Day 2 playing a total of eight levels with play ending at approximately 10:15 p.m. (ET).
