In the words of Adam Levy, "Yep, that’s real."
Brothers Adam and Justin Levy have been seated side-by-side all afternoon, but Justin just had a chance to send his brother packing. The two got it all-in preflop with Adam holding [KsKc] to Justin’s [AdAs].
According to Adam, he actually thought about laying the cowboys down. "I honestly wanted to fold when he three-bet me," the elder Levy explained.
Thankfully for Adam, things worked out in his favor as the board ran out [9h7c5c2d] … [Kd]. The two-outer on the river gave Adam the best hand and a double up.
While Justin did his best to take the whole thing in stride, Adam was the one who was shocked and, frankly, a little sheepish after the fact. His guilt wasn’t helped by the various comments from friends and tablemates once they realized what happened:
"Hey Adam, that was the biggest s**t-eating grin I’ve ever seen after that river hit," joked Matt Stout.
Tiffany Michelle couldn’t resist chiming in from a few tables over as well. "Wow Adam, I would hate to be a part of your family. You really treat them like crap."
As the 26,000 chip pot was pushed towards the elder Roothlus, he summed up the situation pretty well:
"[The hand] didn’t change anything. I think he hated me more before."
Adam Levy – 26,000
Justin Levy – 4,400
This is not real. Just had KK vs my bro’s AA all in pre. Like c’mon?! But I binked a king on the river to leave him w/ 20 bigs. Just so sick
