No One Messes with the Martel, Except Reilly of Course

Apr 30, 2016

Tim Reilly opens for 2,000 from the cutoff and Carl Martel defends his big blind to see a Club 7Spade 3Diamond K flop. Martel check-calls a bet of 2,000 and then both players check the Heart 5 turn.

When the Diamond 8 peels off on the river, Martel bets 3,200 and Reilly tosses in a chip to signify a call. Martel tables the Heart 7Heart 6 for a pair of sevens, but it is second best as Reilly holds the winner with the Heart KSpade 10.

Carl Martel – 93,000 (93 bbs)
Tim Reilly – 75,000 (75 bbs)
