Noah Vaillancourt Doubles Thru Richard Rice

Apr 4, 2017

Noah Vaillancourt

Richard Rice raises from the hijack to 28,000, Noah Vaillancourt (pictured) reraises from the small blind to 200,000 (leaving himself just 3,000 behind), and Rice calls. The flop comes Heart AHeart KSpade 8, and Vaillancourt tanks for a while before he checks. (It’s worth noting that Jason Wheeler is down to three big blinds at another table, and there’s a pay jump for whoever survives past the next elimination.)

Rice bets, and Vaillancourt calls all in for his last 3,000 with Spade ADiamond J for a pair of aces. Rice turns over Heart 9Diamond 9, and Vaillancourt needs his hand to hold to stay alive.

The turn card is the Spade 10, the river card is the Club 3, and Vaillancourt wins the pot with his pair of aces to double up in chips.
