After some preflop action, partypoker qualifier Wesley Wyvill moves all in from the button, the small blind calls, and the player in middle position calls. There is nearly 100,000 already in the pot, and any further betting will create a side pot.
The flop comes K96, and the small blind moves all in for about 33,000. The middle-position player folds, claiming he had ace-queen.
Wyvill turns over AJ (ace high), and he’s actually ahead of the small blind’s A2.
The turn is the 9, the river is the 7, and Wyvill wins the pot wtih his jack kicker to double up in chips.
Wesley Wyvill – 98,000 (32 bb)
The middle-position player expresses his annoyance at the fact that he could have busted Wyvill if he hadn’t been bet out of the hand. We’ll just consider it a Valentine’s Gift for Wyvill.
