Phil Tom moves all in from early position for 62,000, and David Baker moves all in over the top from the small blind. George Cariveau calls all in from the big blind with [KcKd]. Tom shows [AcKs], and Baker turns over [AsQh].
The board comes [3d2d2c2s3c], putting a full house on the board, but Cariveau’s pocket kings give him a higher full house to win the entire pot and eliminate Phil Tom.
Baker points out that another deuce on the river would’ve been painful for Cariveau, because it’s the kind of losing hand that you don’t see coming. (Four deuces on the board would’ve counterfeited Cariveau’s pocket kings and chopped the pot between Tom and Baker with their aces.)
George Cariveau – 513,000 (85 bb)
David Baker – 200,000 (33 bb)
Phil Tom – Out in 44th Place ($16,892)
