It has been a struggle for Pim van Wieringen from the Netherlands throughout Day 1A and after showing up a bit late, his good start was soon crushed and he faded away as short stack. Down to his last 4,850 Chips he moved all-in from under the gun +1 and got looked up by the Button, who asked for a count and then tossed in a blue 5k Chip. The Blinds folded and we had the following showdown:
Pim van Wieringen: [As] [9d]
Button: [Qd] [Qh]
The Board [3s] [8c] [Tc] [7s] [7d] was not without sweat but the better hand preflop held up, sending the Dutchman into the dinner break a little bit earlier as expected.
