Poker Party by partypoker for Charity

Last night, partypoker hosted a celebrity-media event here at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, and invited some of the players from their partner sports teams, the New Jersey Devils and the Philadelphia 76ers.

The festivities started with a cocktail party at 28 West, followed by a charity poker tournament in the Borgata Poker Room. Some of the athletes who played were former 76ers Darryll Dawkins and Malik Rose, along with former Devil Ken Daneyko.

Mike Sexton served as the host and the Master of Ceremonies, while Kara Scott, Lynn Gilmartin, Vince Van Patten, and Ali Nejad all played in the event. Some of the poker professionals in the field include Phil Hellmuth, Jamie Kerstetter, and Scott Baumstein.

In typical fashion for a charity event, the action centered much more around drinks and fun rather than flops and check-raises, and everyone had a great time.
