Rough Start for Eric Afriat

Less than a level into the day, three-time WPT Champions Club member Eric Afriat has been put to a decision for his tournament life, and lost a sizeable pot as a consequence.

With a complete board of in front of him and facing an all-in bet from Artem Metalidi, Afriat elected to fold and save his remaining 24,000 chips, representing less than half of his starting stack, but still well over 100 big blinds, plenty of chips to begin a comeback.
