Ryan Laplante Eliminated in 30th Place by Albert Knafo

Sean Yu raises from the hijack to 30,000, Ryan Laplante moves all in from the small blind for 755,000, and Albert Knafo moves all in over the top from the big blind for 1,670,000.

Yu asks for exact counts, then thinks for a bit before he looks at Knafo and says, “I know you’ve got garbage, man.” Yu folds face up and says, “This is the best hand.”

Laplante shows , and he needs to improve to stay alive against Knafo’s . Yu expresses surprise at Knafo’s higher pocket pair.

The board comes — Laplante flops an open-ended straight draw and turns a spade flush draw, but misses all of his outs on the river. Knafo wins the pot with his pocket sevens to eliminate Laplante in 30th place.

Yu, who would have rivered fives full of jacks to win the entire pot and eliminate both players, smiles and says, “I told you. Best hand.”
