Mbarek Saadi doesn’t take his poker too seriously. He is loving life. Loving the moment. We know this because on Day 1A he had a nasty habit of checking back the nuts on the river. He likes people.
Saadi limps into the pot from the cutoff, Jean-Paul Pasqualini calls in the small blind and Guillaume Darcourt checks in the big blind. The action checks to the river on a board of [9d] [6h] [5s] [Ts] [7c] and Saadi bets 8,000 before quickly realising his error, retrieving the 5k chip and replacing it with a third 1k chip for a 3,000 bet. Pasqualini and Darcourt laugh and a conversation ensues in French. Pasqualini makes the call but Darcourt doesn’t.
"Straight," says Saadi showing [Jc] [8c]
Maybe Saadi is turning over a new leaf. Nasty man.
