Sam Grafton finds pocket on the button and he opts for a min-raise when it folds round to him, out of his 12 big blind stack. Shyngis Satubayev has a big hand too, with and three-bets 3.9 million all in from the small blind. Grafton makes the call and an ace hits on the flop. There is no help for Grafton on the turn or river and he is down to just one big blind now.
Incredibly, the very next hand Grafton finds pocket once again and gets the last few chips in after Gavin Cochrane opens in early position. Yurasov raises it up with on the button, wielding his big stack well and the bet works, getting Cochrane out of the way. Grafton has the best of it for a second time in a row and is looking good to win the small pot on the flop.
He just needs to fade aces and kings on the river but it comes with the to bring an end to his Championship hopes. “It doesn’t get much worse than that” sympathises Mike Sexton from the commentary booth.
Dmitry Yurasov – 31.5 million
Gavin Cochrane – 17 million
Shyngis Satubayev – 8.6 million
Sam Grafton – Eliminated
