Sammy Chao has been steadily chipping up all afternoon and early evening, and added a few more in a small blind-versus-blind hand against Edouard Dupuis.
Chao limps in from the small blind, Dupuis checks, then Chao leads at a [8d][5h][2h] flop for 1,500. Dupuis calls. Chao then checks after the [Ks] turn and Dupuis takes a stab with a bet of 2,600 and Chao calls.
Both check the [3d] river, Chao shows [Qd][5c] and Dupuis [10s][5d]. A pair of fives for both, but Chao has the better kicker.
Chao now sits with more than 170,000, one of the bigger stacks in the room at present.
Sammy Chao – 172,000 (172 bb)
Edouard Dupuis – 64,000 (64 bb)
