Santa Claus Back to His Antics

Yesterday Richard "Santa Claus" Pyne was entertaining his table by requesting to see every losing hand. Today he is back to his attention grabbing antics, but this time it has to do with his own cards. 

Pyne started to toss his cards toward the dealer, but stopped and brought them back. Then he held  them out again, this time hovering just above the betting line. 

"How far can I put my cards in before I can still take them back," he asked the dealer. 

"As far as you want," she told him. 

He pulled his cards back toward himself, before extending them out again and finally releasing them. 

"Once you let go of them you can’t take them back," the dealer clarified.
