Bodo Sbrzesny and Marvin Rettenmaier have just shown the poker world that there are NO friends in PartyPoker when it comes to game time.
Fedor Holz opens up the action with a 12,000 raise from mid-position, Kimmo Kurko is next to act and he three-bets to 28,000 in the hijack, Bodo Sbrzesny then makes a cold four-bet worth 52,000 in the cutoff and Marvin Rettenmaier makes a cold five-bet from the button for 96,000. Holz and Kurko both fold, and Sbrzesny manages to find just a call.
Flop: [Kc] [5c] [3d]
You can cut the tension with a piece of cheese wire. Sbrzesny checks, Rettenmaier makes a 62,000 c-bet and Sbrzesny calls, leaving around 235,000 behind.
Turn: [6s]
Sbrzesny checks, and after a lull, Rettenmaier quietly murmurs, ‘All-In.” Sbrzesny greets the sound of the immortal words with the only way Bodo can – he smiles. The biggest Cheshire cat impression you will see today.
“Oh Mad Marvin.” Sighs Sbrzesny.
As Sbrzesny tanks, the clock runs into the break period. Deep into the break period. Eventually, Sbrzesny mucks his hand and Rettenmaier can’t help himself. He shows [Ah] [9h] for the bluff and says hello to his little friends – 735,000 of them.
What does Sbrzesny do? He just smiles even wider.
