Scott Levitt Leads the Final 15 Player of the 2021-2022 Seminole Rock 'N' Roll Poker Open

Scott Levitt holds 11 million of the 62.6 million chips in play as day 3 of the 2021-2022 Seminole Rock ‘N’ Roll Open comes to a close with 15 players remaining.

Levitt vaulted into the chip lead when he found himself holding aces and was all-in for over a twelve million chip pot against Day 1B chip leader Michael Shanahan but was well behind Shanahan’s flopped set of fours. The turn offered no help, but when the ace of spades landed on the river, Levitt found the prettiest card in the deck to eliminate Shanahan and take the chip lead into the penultimate day of the event.

Joining Levitt in the final 15 are Daniel Rezaei, Jakob Miegel, Steve Buckner, Harout Ghazarian, Selahaddin Bedir, Ari Dinov, Clayton Maguire, Scott Levitt, Nicholas Davidson, Joseph Cheong, Willie Wiggins, Anshul Rai, Kristen Bicknell, and Gediminas Uselis.

Bicknell (Pictured Below) is the only remaining female in the field after WPTSteps member Sheila Fisher (56th place for $13,130) and Sonia Shashikhina (27th Place for $22,500) fell on day 3. Bicknell heads into day 4 as one of the shorter stacks in the field after scoring a double up against Pavel Plesuv just before the dinner break and will have just over ten big blinds to work with in the pursuit of her first WPT title.

WPT Champion Club Member Plesuv was one of the chip leaders throughout the day, but after doubling up Wiggins early in level 26, he found himself all-in a few hands later for his last 1,990,000 holding queen-jack against the ace-queen of Cheong. Both players made a pair of queens by the river, but Cheong held the higher kicker and the final previous champion hit the door in 16th place for $40,860.

Other notables to fall on day 3 included day 2 chip leader Luke Martinelli in 47th, Frank Funaro in 38th, FiveThirtyEight founder Nate Silver in 35th, Nick Yunis in 30th, and WPT DeepStacks Champion Duff Charette in 25th.

The remaining players are guaranteed at least $40,860, but all eyes are on the $778,490 first-place prize and their name on the WPT Mike Sexton Champions Cup.

Play resumes November 30th at 12:00 p.m. EST inside the Seminole Grand Ball Room, and players will start the day with 1:13:20 remaining in level 26 with the blinds at 50,000-75,000 with a 75,000 big blind ante.
