Shankar Pillai Doubles Thru Andy Hwang

Harvey Vandeven raises from the button to 55,000, Shankar Pillai (pictured) moves all in from the small blind for 225,000, and Andy Hwang moves all in over the top from the big blind. Vandeven folds.

Pillai turns over AK, and he needs his hand to hold to stay alive against Hwang’s KQ.

The board comes A83Q7 — Hwang flops a flush draw and pairs his queen on the turn, but it’s not enough as Pillai wins the pot with a pair of aces to double up in chips.
