A massive preflop cooler has seen possibly the biggest pot of the tournament so far go to Shlomo Gardi.
Following a raise to 25,000 from Balakrishna Patur in early position and a call by Anthony Spinella in the cutoff, Shlomo Gardi moves all in from the big blind for 317,000.
Patur then moves in over the top for 400,000, and covering both, Spinella calls with the potential to rocket up the chip counts with a win. To start the hand though, he’s in third place.

The flop comes bringing Gardi plenty of hope with the only possible flush. The on the turn changes nothing, but instead of a heart, Gardi drills the on the river to earn a triple-up, while Patur takes the small side pot.
Patur wouldn’t be able to recover from the cooler though as he was eliminated shortly after.
Shlomo Gardi – 965,000 (80 bb)
Anthony Spinella – 925,000 (77 bb)
