Shooting Star: Chris Ferguson

Chris Ferguson is one of the most recognizable faces is poker thanks to his memorable cowboy hat and long hair, his memorable nickname of "Jesus" and some memorable performances at the poker tables. Ferguson has a long list of accomplishments, including two WPT final tables, two runner-up finishes and a victory in the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship and a win in the 2000 WSOP Main Event. He has cashed in WPT events eleven times and earned $576,430 in career WPT winnings.


Ferguson isn’t just a poker whiz, he is an accomplished academic as well. He has a PhD in Computer Science from UCLA and is renowned throughout the poker community for his math skills.
