Dan Harrington may not spend a lot of time at the tables anymore, but his lasting impact on the poker world perseveres thanks to the continued popularity of his Harrington On Hold’Em book series. The WSOP Main Event Winner and WPT Legends of Poker Season VI champ was recognized for his contributions to the poker community last year by being voted into the Poker Hall of Fame alongside fellow Mayfair Club grinder, Erik Seidel. The Massachusetts native first got into the games of chess, backgammon, and even a stint on the MIT blacjack team prior to winning the WSOP Main Event in 1995. Harrington has final tabled the prestiigous tournament on four separate occassions, making him one of the top WSOP Main Event performers in history. Harrington also has two WPT final tables to his credit. In addition to his win at the Legends of Poker in Season VI, he also finished heads-up to Minh Ly at the Doyle Brunson North American Poker Championship in Season II. All told, Harrington has over $6.6 million in tournament winnings, not to mention profits from his numerous poker publications.
