Steve Barshak raises to 7,000 from middle position, Steven Kelly calls in the cutoff, Terry Jacobs calls on the button, and Mike Scarborough calls out of the big blind.
The four players see a flop of [9s8s3d] and Scarborough checks. Barshak bets 14,500 and Kelly folds. Jacobs calls, Marchese folds, and Scarborough check-raises to 36,500. Barshak doesn’t back down and makes it another 43,000 to play. Jacobs folds.
Scarborough starts to think and asks Barshak how many chips he has. As Barshak dismantles his stack, he lifts a stack of orange 1,000 chips to reveal nearly 100,000 in gray chips.
"Woah," Scarborough says. "Hiding greys again?" Barshak doesn’t say anything. "Have those tucked back in your little cubby hole," Scarborough adds. He thinks another few moments and slowly folds.
As Barshak rakes in the pot he tells Scarborough and the table, "I had no idea you couldn’t see the gray stacks, sorry."
Steve Barshak – 400,000
Mike Scarborough – 515,000
