After a flop of , WPT Founder Steve Lipscomb checks the big blind, the UTG player bets 1,500, and Sandi Phelps (pictured) bets 3,500 from middle position. Lipscomb goes into the tank, and even calls over a reporter to cover the hand.
Lipscomb says this could be it for him, and asks Phelps a question. Phelps, who had jokingly asked Lipscomb for a job earlier, says, “Will I still get a job from you if I bust you?” Lipscomb laughs and says she will.
Lipscomb eventually folds, and the UTG player folds as well. Phelps shows for a set of tens as she takes the pot, and Lipscomb claims he had a flush draw.
Sandi Phelps – 30,600 (153 bb)
Steve Lipscomb – 7,400 (37 bb)
After the hand, Phelps says she thought he was going to move all in once he called the reporters over, and was ready to bust him with her top set.
