Steven Kelly raises to 50,000 from under the gun and Roger Teska raises to 135,000 on the button. Kelly calls and they go heads-up to a flop of [Kh7s5h]. Kelly checks, Teska bets 150,000, and Kelly calls.
The turn brings the [7h] and Kelly moves all-in for around 900,000. Teska gets a count and thinks for over a minute before calling with [AcAh] for an overpair of aces with a flush draw.
Kelly shows [7d10d] for trip sevens. A crowd gathers around the table as the dealer prepares to burn and turn the river. The river is the [As], giving Teska a full house. Kelly throws up his hands in frustration as he is eliminated in 13th place.
With Kelly’s elimination, Shannon Shorr and Sam El Sayed are now the only two players left in the field that can catch Andy Frankenberger in the WPT Player of the Year race.
Roger Teska – 2,850,000 (118 BBs)
Steven Kelly – Eliminated in 13th place ($53,095)
After Kelly’s elimination, Justin Young is moved over from the other table into Kelly’s seat, so there are now six players at each table.
