Sometimes in poker the best course of action is to keep matters simple, something that has just worked for Dermot Blain.
The action folded to Blain in the hijack seat and he opened to 250. His only customer was Erik Scheidt in the big blind who nonchalantly tossed in the required number of chips to call. The dealer fanned out the [8c][9h][9s] flop, Scheidt tapped the table and checked, Blain fired a continuation bet of 300 into the middle of the felt and Scheidt instantly released his hand. Easy game.
