Photo: Xing Biao Zhu (right) studies both Zongxin Liu (left), and Tadashi Takei (center).
Zongxin Liu raises from the hijack to 100,000, Tadashi Takei reraises from the cutoff to 490,000 (leaving himself just 200,000 behind), and Xing Biao Zhu goes into the tank for a long time on the button.
Zhu studies Takei the most, but after a while he asks for a clear look at Liu’s stack. (Liu has 405,000 behind.)
Zhu eventually moves all in for about 1,000,000, and Liu rechecks his cards before he folds. Takei takes a short while before he says, “No more. Call.” Takei turns over in a bit of a slowroll, and Zhu shows . Takei needs his hand to hold to stay alive.
The board comes , and the pocket aces hold up for Takei to win the pot and double up in chips.
Tadashi Takei – 1,580,000 (40 bb)
Xing Biao Zhu – 300,000 (8 bb)
