The Comeback of Yegor Tsurikov

Mar 2, 2015

Yegor Tsurikov came into Day 3 as the shortest stack with 120 players remaining — his 16,600 was worth a little less than seven big blinds.

The key pot for Tsurikov to survive the first level of the day came when he was all in with 4-4 against two-time WPT Champions Club member Anthony Zinno’s K-K. The board came K-4-x, giving both players a set, but Tsurikov caught the case 4 on the turn to win the pot with quads and double up.

Since then, Tsurikov has held strong, survived the Money Bubble, and he’s currently sitting on a big stack worth more than double the average.
