The Demise of Remy Biechel

Nov 25, 2011

Remy Biechel was looking a good bet for a cash prize earlier in this tournament with a peak of around 250,000 chips. We have just stumbled across him talking to his friends in the corridor and that can only mean one thing. Here is the exit of Biechel courtesy of our French colleagues in the media room.

There was a raise to 8,000 and Biechel three-bet to 19,000 with [Ax] [Kx]. The flop was a good one for Reimy as it fell [Kx] [9x] [4x] (rainbow). The original raiser checked to Biechel who bet 13,000 and his opponent check-raised all-in for 40,000. Biechel called and tabled his [Ax] [Kx] but his opponent had flopped a set with [9x] [9x]. This hand pushed Biechel down to 18,000, and it went into the middle not long after, when Biechel found [Ah] [8h] but he ran into pocket aces and that was the end of that.
