The Inimitable Martin Kabrhel

Dec 6, 2012

Martin Kabrhel is an original. There is simply nobody else like him. He went about his business, during Day 1C, fully suited and booted. He was working on his laptop all day; poker seemingly a side issue. It didn’t seem to bother him as he amassed an impressive stack, until gifting it to the eventual chip leader, Yannick Bonnet, in one of the final hands of the competition.

So Kabhrel started the day with the short stack – 19,000 – but now has 100,000 again, in part due to a hand that crippled Stanislaw Kretz. It was the cooler of all coolers. Kabrhel getting it in with aces and Kretz finding kings at the same time. Kretz was crippled and then eliminated a few hands later.
