The Truth Hurts for Alex Outhred

WPT Champions Club member Will Failla raises to 1,000 in middle position and Alex Outhred calls from the cutoff.  The flop comes [Qd9c7c], Failla quickly bets 1,500, and Outhred quickly calls.

The turn brings the [10c] and Failla checks. Outhred bets 5,000 and Failla mulls i over a few seconds before check-raising to 16,000 total. Outhred barely gives it any thought before calling.

The river is the [6s] Failla tosses out 25,000 in 5,000 chips, leaving just over 6,000 behind.

Outhred has to take some time to think this time around. After a minute of silence Outhred says, "I think 98% of the field snaps." He pauses, then revises his estimate. "Ninety-five."

He thinks a little longer, then tells Failla, "I’m listening to a song called ‘The Truth Hurts.’ It’s frikkin accurate."

Outhred folds, telling Failla, "I beat aces."

Failla is curious. "Straight?"

"I’m not gonna talk about it," Outhred replies.
