#TheCupAwaits the Season XVI WPT Seminole Showdown Champion!

Today at 4 p.m. ET, six players will return to Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, for the final table of the Season XVI WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship. Brian Hastings and his stack of 12.855 million lead the way, and the players will be competing for the tournament’s $696,740 first-place prize.

Seat 2: Matt Stout – 3,190,000
Seat 3: Brian Hastings – 12,855,000
Seat 4: Faraz Jaka – 2,450,000
Seat 5: Joey Couden – 8,255,000
Seat 6: Scott Margereson – 8,195,000

Hastings is in search of his first WPT title, as is everyone else at the final table. Joey Couden (8.255 million) and Scott Margereson (8.195 million) are bunched up in second and third places on the leaderboard, and then Jeff Fielder (4.32 million), Matt Stout (3.19 million), and Faraz Jaka (2.45 million) are also fighting for the title.

Fielder could snatch a special piece of WPT history if he were to go on and win the event. A two-time WPTDeepStacks champion, Fielder could become the first player to win both a WPT Main Tour title and a WPTDeepStacks title. Jaka, the Season VIII WPT Player of the Year, is looking to earn his first World Poker Tour title, but he’ll have to come from the lowest place on the leaderboard to do so.

In addition to all the prize money that is to be won, the winner will earn 1,400 points in the Hublot WPT Player of the Year race. Joey Couden already has 100 points on the season, and a win would move him to fifth on the Hublot WPT Player of the Year leaderboard.
