Three-Way All-In Signals the End for Lukas Wimmer

Jan 25, 2021

Anyone watching will have predicted what would unfold…with three premium holdings it was inevitable there would be a monster pot by the end of it. All the chips go in preflop and Rayan Chamas is a long way ahead with his shortest stack of 1,170,000 chips on the line. Felix Schulze (7,541,000) has both Chamas and Wimmer (2,341,000) covered and Wimmer is in trouble with two of his ace outs needed to win the side pot taken by Chamas’ hand.

Felix Schulze: Spade QHeart Q
Lukas Wimmer: Diamond ADiamond K

As the flop comes out Club 10Heart 3Diamond 2 the dry board doesn’t change much, except that Wimmer picks up two back-door draws. The Diamond 10 turn brings flush possibilities but the Club 7 river denies him and he loses both the main pot to Chamas and the side pot to Schulze, who manages to improve his stack as a result. Wimmer collects $10,213 for placing 41st.

Felix Schulze – 8,034,000
Rayan Chamas – 3,761,000
Lukas Wimmer – Eliminated
