Day 2 Chip Leader Yong Zhao
After a trio of opening flights that saw 758 entries create a prize pool of KRW 2,246,947,400, just 283 of those entrants will return to the Landing Casino at 1 pm local time Thursday for Day 2 of the WPT Korea Main Event here at the incredible Jeju Shinhwa World Resort.
Day 1B chip leader Yong Zhao brings the overall chip lead into Day 2 with 582,000 chips, good for 232 big blinds.
Plenty of notables will be joining him in the field as well, including David Yan, who bagged the second-biggest stack on Day 1A with 300,500, Arden Cho, who claimed a top five stack on Day 1C with 279,000, Steve O’Dwyer holds 170,500 from his Day 1A efforts, and WPT commentator and ambassador Tony Dunst, who will have some work to do to spin up his Day 1B total of 37,000.
Players return to the tournament floor for ten more scheduled levels with blinds starting at 1,500 / 2,500 with a 2,500 big blind ante. A 15-minute break will take place after every second level, with a 70-minute dinner break scheduled after Level 16.
Complete prize pool information will be announced once play has begun.
