Up and Down for Ben Bensimhon

It folded to Ben Bensimhon in the small blind who moved all in for 73,000. Michel Abecassis was in the big blind and had a decision to make.

“It’s close,” he said.

“What?” said Bensimhon, “You have nine-ten, eight-nine or ten-eight. Just tell me if I’m right.”

Abecassis continued thinking.

“Another thing to think about is that I’m dangerous with a lot of chips. I’m a dangerous player.”

Eventually Abecassis called. Bensimhon showed Diamond QClub 10 and was up against the Spade 8Diamond 9 of his opponent. The board ran out Club KSpade QDiamond 8Spade KClub J and Bensimhon doubled up.

However, Bensimhon’s double didn’t last long as two hands later he moved all in with ace-king against an opponent’s ace-jack. Unfortunately for Bensimhon there was a Jack on the flop, and no further help and he was eliminated.
