Up and Down for Ben Bensimhon

It folded to Ben Bensimhon in the small blind who moved all in for 73,000. Michel Abecassis was in the big blind and had a decision to make.

“It’s close,” he said.

“What?” said Bensimhon, “You have nine-ten, eight-nine or ten-eight. Just tell me if I’m right.”

Abecassis continued thinking.

“Another thing to think about is that I’m dangerous with a lot of chips. I’m a dangerous player.”

Eventually Abecassis called. Bensimhon showed and was up against the of his opponent. The board ran out and Bensimhon doubled up.

However, Bensimhon’s double didn’t last long as two hands later he moved all in with ace-king against an opponent’s ace-jack. Unfortunately for Bensimhon there was a Jack on the flop, and no further help and he was eliminated.
