Up And Down For Tom Rafferty

The board reads  and the player in the hijack checks. Tom Rafferty fires 12,500 from the cutoff. His opponent deliberates for over a minute before making the call. Rafferty then tables  for a flush, and takes down the pot, after his opponent folds.

In the following hand, the player under the gun limps in, before Rafferty raises to 1,200. His opponent then re-raises to 6,500. Rafferty calls.

The flop comes  and Rafferty’s opponent continues for 5,300.

“Show if I fold?” asks Rafferty. His opponent nods, prompting Rafferty to release his hand.

“Nice hand,” replies Rafferty, after his opponent shows .
