Vinh Ho Eliminated in 122nd Place by Suk Lee

Jan 29, 2014

Peter Hong min-raises under the gun to 12,000, and Vinh Ho thinks for a little while before moving all in from middle position for 118,000. Michael Santoro is on the button, and he asks for an exact count of Ho’s stack.

Santoro jokes with the dealer and asks, "Can I see the flop first?" She says no. Santoro tells the table, "I was setting a nice trap for my buddy down there," and he motions to Hong. Santoro eventually folds.

Suk Lee moves all in from the big blind, and Santoro seems very pleased with his fold. Hong quickly folds.

Ho turns over [QhQs], but he’s dominated by Lee’s [AdAh]. Santoro tells the table that he had sevens (and showed them to the player next to him who had already folded), and says, "Look, there will be a seven right there on the flop."

The flop comes [KsJs7s], and Santoro reacts to the fact that he would have made a set of sevens. Other players point out that Ho has picked up a flush draw, so a set of sevens might not be that good.

The turn is the [Ac], and it takes a little bit of wind out of Santoro’s sails as he would now be in a set-under-set situation if he had called. Lee now has a set of aces to Ho’s flush draw.

The river is the [Kc], and Suk Lee wins the pot with a full house, aces full of kings, to eliminate Vinh Ho from the tournament.

Suk Lee  –  300,000  (50 bb)
Vinh Ho  –  Eliminated in 122nd Place  ($0)

With 121 players remaining, the field begins playing hand-for-hand on the Money Bubble.
