The next hand after being crippled down to just 500 in chips, Failla was forced all in from the big blind for his last 425. (75 went to the ante.) Four other players limp for 600 each to see the flop with Failla.
The flop comes AQ10, and after a check, Bill Loukanikas bets 2,000 from the cutoff. The other three players fold, and Loukanikas shows A7 (pair of aces) as he takes the side pot.
Failla turns over A6 for a pair of aces with a lower kicker, though with high cards out on the board, there is an excellent chance of a chop here.
Failla, perhaps resigned to his fate of being eliminated soon, asks the dealer, “Can you put out a seven so I can go home?”
The turn card pairs the board with the A, the river card double-pairs the board with the 10, and Failla and Loukanikas chop the pot with identical full houses, aces full of tens.
