WPT Asia Team Plays for Camaraderie and a Trip to Sanya

The first main tour event to be held in China by the World Poker Tour is coming to a grand conclusion today, as one player’s name will be added to the prestigious WPT Champions Cup.

One of the final side events was an employee appreciation tournament for the WPT Asia team, including the designers, developers, and testers who created PlayWPT, where poker fans around the world can experience the fun and challenge of poker online.

But while PlayWPT is about online poker, today these employees got a chance to stare each other down across the felt, look for tells, and physically push their chip stacks when they move all in.

The stakes were high, as the final three players finished in the money, with the winner earning a trip for two to Sanya, China. Here are the top three finishers, who are also pictured below:

1st:  Lu Chao  –  Trip for two to Sanya, China, valued at CNY 10,000  (~US $1,452)
2nd:  Zhang Ying  –  CNY 4,000  (~US $581)
3rd:  Chen Guangwen  –  CNY 1,000  (~US $145)
