The final flight of the WPT Main Event Day 1C, unfolded in spectacular style at Jeju Poker Festival. A packed field of determined players battled fiercely for a coveted seat in Day 2 and a shot at the ultimate guarantee prize pool of KRW1.68 Billion.
The tournament drew players from around the world, including a spotlight appearance by Japanese comedian and poker fan Horita Seiki Antoni, joining him was Chinatsu Uda, a Japanese influencer and poker enthusiast. Their presence brought an extra layer of excitement to the festival, captivating audiences both at the tables and beyond with their vibrant personalities and shared passion for the game.
Day 1C concluded after 10 thrilling levels, drawing 340 entries and bringing the WPT Main Event’s total to an impressive 667 across all three starting flights: 120 from Day 1A, 207 from Day 1B, and 340 from Day 1C. A total of 228 players advanced to Day 2, which kicks off at 12:00 PM (UTC+9) on November 19, with live streams starting at 12:30 PM (UTC+9) on Facebook and YouTube.
Leading the field is Ren Junjie, who topped both the Day 1C and overall chip counts with a commanding 529,000 in chips. Other notable qualifiers include Shiina Okamoto from Japan, 2023 WSOP Ladies Event Champion, and WPT Korea 2023 runner-up Valeriy Pak.
