WPT Korea Championship Event Day 3 Recap

April 1, 2024, Jeju island, South Korea, – The WPT Korea Championship Event Day 3 played until the final 9 players. The final table is set to be an interesting action packed table with its current line-up.

Leading the final table is Po-wen Fang from China with 12,350,000 in chips.  He is followed closely by his countrywoman Ding Yayun with 12,175,000. Each of the final table players is assured a cash prize of KRW 43,500,000 (~US$32,000).  First place winner will be getting KRW 434,936,000 (~US$320,000), a WPT Korea Champion Trophy and a WPT Korea Championship Ring.

Finishing its Day 2 today is the Mini Main Event which has a buy-in of KRW 1,400,000 (~US$1,000). Accumulating a prize pool of KRW 530,435,000 (~US$390,000), the Mini Main Event was won by Zeyu Sun from China who bested a field of 434 entries.  For his efforts, he took home KRW 105,655,000 (~US$77,900), a side event trophy and a WPT Korea 2024 Side Event Ring.

The 2nd winner of the day is Chuning Tan from China who cashed KRW 7,864,000 (~US$5,700) at the Pot Limit Omaha 8 Hi/Lo event. And finally the 3rd winner of the day is female chinese poker player Lin Meng Ling who prevailed over a field of 74 entries in the Single Day High Roller Event. Not only did Ling bring home a  trophy but also KRW 199,930,000 (~US$147,000) and the bragging right for owning the 3rd ever WPT Korea Gold High Roller Champion Ring.
